Turning Point USA, the political advocacy organization founded by the late far-right conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is planning a response to Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl halftime show.

As Variety reports, the “All American Halftime Show” is being plotted in response to the Puerto Rican star’s performance — Bad Bunny is, of course, an American citizen, so I’ll leave it to you to surmise what “All American” means here. A newly-launched website promises “Performers and event details coming soon” and includes a feedback survey for the kind of music that should be showcased. Among the selections are “Americana,” “Worship,” and somewhat tellingly, “Anything in English.”

Bad Bunny was announced as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime performer in late September. The selection has become a predictable target of criticism from the right wing, including President Donald Trump, who called the selection “absolutely ridiculous.” Bad Bunny is presently one of the most popular musicians in the world, boasting millions and millions of monthly streams across platforms.

Since endorsing Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, Bad Bunny has gone on to vocally oppose the immigration policies of the Trump administration. He shared a video on Instagram condemning ICE raids in Puerto Rico, and later admitted that his world tour dates did not include the continental United States over concerns that ICE would harass and detain his fans. Shortly after Bad Bunny was announced as the Super Bowl performer, Trump administration official Corey Lewandowski said ICE would have a presence at the event.
