In June, Mariah Carey teased “MC16” as she released the percussive new single “Type Dangerous.” This week, she made things official; on July 21, Mariah Carey confirmed that her 16th studio album, Here For It All, will be out in September. She followed the announcement with the release of a new song, “Sugar Sweet,” on July 25.
Featuring Shenseea and Kehlani, the “Sugar Sweet” is a breathy, R&B-inspired track co-produced by Carey and HARV. Laden with ad-libs, it contrasts the sound of “Type Dangerous,” which sampled Eric B. & Rakim’s 1986 song “Eric B. Is President.”

Who produced Here For It All?
Here For It All is Carey’s first album in a multi-record deal with gamma., an independent label launched by Larry Jackson, a former Apple Music executive, in 2023.
The project’s executive producer is L.A. Reid, who also produced Carey’s 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi and her 2009 album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, according to a Forbes interview.

We already know that Kehlani and Shenseea are featured on “Sugar Sweet,” but it’s currently unclear who else will appear on the album.
