The Drain Gang visionary Bladee has officially announced his highly anticipated new studio album, Sulfur Surfer. The project is set to arrive on May 20, marking another significant chapter in the artist’s prolific career. Fans have already received a first taste of the record with the release of the lead single, “Blondie,” which is available to stream now.
The upcoming album features the signature atmospheric production of long-time collaborator Whitearmor. Notably, the project also includes an unexpected and intriguing feature from the English experimental music group Current 93, signaling a potential evolution in the artist’s sonic palette. Sulfur Surfer serves as the follow-up to his 2024 effort Cold Visions, a project that garnered critical acclaim and was ranked as the No. 4 album of that year by The FADER.

In addition to the album release, the artist has confirmed a series of live performances throughout the summer. He will be joined by frequent collaborator Yung Lean for several high-profile festival appearances. The tour schedule includes a performance at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash on June 13, followed by a set at Roskilde Festival on July 3, and a Boiler Room appearance on August 1.
