Chrono24’s Most Hyped Watches In September

HypetimeChrono24 will be providing background on some of the most coveted luxury watches in the pre-owned market based on real-time findings from its global marketplace.

Every month, Chrono24’s in-house experts will spotlight five models. The selection is based on monthly analytics, with each piece meeting all four criteria: 1) The watch must receive a critical mass of supply as well as demand, 2) There must be a significant percentage increase in inquiries and offers compared to the previous month as the reference period, 3) The search queries for the watch model must exceed a critical threshold defined from the data set, 4) The available listings per model must exceed a critical threshold defined from the data set.

Read on for the most hyped watches on Chrono24 in September.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo 103431

A luxury sports watch with dress watch vibes, the Bulgari Octo Finissimo 103431 is a gleaming example of versatility. The blue lacquered dial and its sunburst finish make a statement against a steel case, and the in-house developed and produced caliber BVL138 with platinum micro-rotor has won the hearts of watch lovers. At 40mm, this timepiece is expertly sized, thanks to its 6.4mm thickness that fits close to the wrist. Demand for this watch has more than tripled on Chrono24 since the beginning of this year, with the Octo being spotted on the wrists of actors such as Jeremy Renner, Aaron Eckhart, and Josh O’Connor.

OMEGA Seamaster 21230416101001

Whether you’re a diver or just a sports watch lover, the OMEGA Seamaster 21230416101001 is known for its precision quartz movement and of course, its superb water resistance. The bold black dial and substantial steel case are iconic and luxurious, worn by everyone from Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond in GoldenEye to Prince William. It’s also thin enough to slide underneath a shirt cuff, fitting the purpose of a dress watch despite its diving heritage. On Chrono24, demand for this Seamaster has grown four times since the start of 2023.

Longines Hydroconquest Green L3.781.4.06.6

Some might say that Longines’ Forest Green HydroConquest is the brand’s answer to the surging popularity of green dials, a trend that was propelled by the likes of the Rolex Submariner. This self-winding timepiece clocks in at 41mm and features Longines’ Calibre L888 movement, which boasts 64 hours of power reserve and a silicon balance spring. As of last month, demand for this green-hued watch has almost doubled since the beginning of the year. The HydroConquest is often seen on the wrist of Bridgerton star and Longines brand ambassador, Regé-Jean Page.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 1500

Calling all vintage Rolex lovers! The Oyster Perpetual Date 1500 debuted in the 1960s but its fandom lives on. The chronometer-certified Perpetual movement is made in-house, likening this model to Rolex’s better-known Datejust – just in a smaller package (and pricepoint!). The case diameter is only 34mm compared to the Datejust’s 36mm, but the Oyster Perpetual Date packs inarguable value. But don’t let the size fool you – Rolex’s Perpetual Date 1500s have been spotted on sports legends from Tom Brady to Tyshawn Jones. The word is out and demand for this Rolex last month on Chrono24 hit its highest peak since the start of 2023.

Seiko Prospex Solar SSC813P1

The Prospex Solar SSC813P1 is a “panda” quartz offering from Seiko that feels substantial and attracts a lot of attention from first-time buyers and watch world newbies. With a retro-meets-modern aesthetic, this watch is notable for its 60-minute chronograph timer with a power reserve indicator on the 6 o’clock subdial. Largely powered by the sun, this reference allows the wearer to start, stop and reset the chronograph and then do a power check on the V192 movement’s battery. Chrono24 has seen demand for this watch almost double since the beginning of 2024 – symbolizing an invigorated appreciation for Seiko’s solar-powered, cool party trick.
