d4vd has cancelled the remaining dates of his U.S. tour, TMZ reports, as the homicide investigation into the dismembered body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas who was found in a trunk of a Tesla registered to the singer goes underway. A deluxe version of his album Withered, released in April, that was expected to release today, September 19, was also withheld.
According to TMZ, who cites sources with direct knowledge, d4vd’s camp decided to axe the tour on Thursday, September 18. The singer had already cancelled his show the day prior, when he was set to perform in Seattle. The remaining dates cancelled were set to take place in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
TMZ also notes that the singer was scheduled to perform at Grammy Museum on September 24 but that the event page has since been quietly removed from the Grammy Museum’s website.
Police discovered the body in a decomposed state on September 8. Since then, officials have identified the victim as Celeste Rivas, who was reported missing in April 2024. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner also noted that Rivas sported a tattoo on her finger with the word “Shhh,” which appear to match a similar tattoo on d4vd’s finger, according to surfaced photos.
On September 17, police executed a search warrant on a home in the Hollywood Hills where d4vd is known to reside. So far, no one has been formally charged and d4vd has been “cooperating with authorities,” per a statement from his team.
The singer has been dropped by campaigns with Hollister and Crocs in the subsequent days.
