Legendary Hip-Hop icon Flavor Flav is bringing his signature energy to Las Vegas this summer for a landmark event dedicated to celebrating the women who dominated the Olympic stage. The festivities, centered around his “She Got Game” initiative, are scheduled for July 16 through 19.
The momentum for the event solidified recently when Flavor Flav met with Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom to finalize the logistics. During the meeting, Commissioner Segerblom presented the artist with a key to the Las Vegas Strip, a symbolic gesture recognizing his commitment to the city and his advocacy for female athletes.
What began as a spontaneous social media invitation to female Olympians and Paralympians has rapidly evolved into a major cultural moment. MGM Resorts has stepped in as a co-host, with various properties across the city preparing to participate. Notably, The Palms is slated to host the women’s hockey team, featuring exclusive events at Ghost Bar and their renowned pool area.
According to reports from FOX5 Las Vegas, Commissioner Segerblom expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming celebration, noting that the event serves as a vital platform for showcasing Las Vegas as a premier training and practice hub for athletes preparing for the 2028 LA Olympics.
Beyond the parties and performances, the core mission of the weekend is to create tangible opportunities for these athletes. The initiative aims to connect Olympians with sponsors and brands, helping them secure the financial recognition they deserve. Flavor Flav has been a vocal supporter of women’s sports, ranging from water polo to bobsled and skeleton, and this event represents a significant investment of his platform to elevate these competitors.
With both summer and winter Olympians expressing interest in attending, the energy surrounding the July weekend continues to build, promising a unique blend of celebration and professional empowerment.
