Green Day is commemorating 20 years of American Idiot with a special deluxe edition.

The updated version of the group’s magnum opus features the original tracklist released in 2004 as well as previously-released B-sides and bonus tracks. In addition, the band has unveiled extensive Limited Edition Super Deluxe Box Sets available in 8-LP vinyl and 4-CD configurations, with each set containing two Blu-ray discs — one of which holds the film Heart Like A Hand Grenade, BBC: Top of the Pops “Mini Gig,” Later with Jools Holland and the brand new documentary, 20 Years of American Idiot. There’s also 15 unreleased demos and the live recording of their show at New York City’s Irving Plaza on September 21, 2004, a 36-page book, a large Green Day flag and the iconic American Idiot red tie.

American Idiot came about after the master recordings of their supposed album, Cigarettes and Valentines, were stolen. The band decided to start over from scratch, resulting in the creation of the punk rock opera that took home two of its seven GRAMMY nominations and acted as the source material for a Broadway play.

Stream Green Day’s American Idiot (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) on Spotify and Apple Music.
