Mercedes-Benz has revealed a custom electric G-Class as the official Trophy Carrier for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, marking an exciting collaboration with Riot Games. This year’s competition spans three European cities — Berlin, Paris, and London — and culminates in the Final at London’s O2 Arena in November.
The bespoke electric G-Class will transport the Summoner’s Cup, the tournament’s championship trophy, across these locations. Customized through the Mercedes-Benz MANUFAKTUR program, the vehicle features details like the League of Legends Worlds logo embroidered on its headrests and a specially designed trunk module for secure transport of the trophy.
As a long-standing partner of League of Legends Esports, Mercedes-Benz’s contribution extends beyond the Trophy Carrier. The brand also collaborated with Riot Games to design exclusive championship rings for the winning team, a tradition that adds another layer of prestige to the esports event.
Bettina Fetzer, Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz, expressed the brand’s enthusiasm for creating ‘”memorable moments” for fans and celebrating the competitive spirit that embodies the Worlds 2024 motto, “Make Them Believe.”
With defending champions T1, led by celebrated player Faker, looking to secure another title, Mercedes-Benz continues to amplify its involvement in esports by blending automotive innovation with the excitement of one of the world’s biggest esports tournaments.
