N.HOOLYWOOD, the renowned Japanese fashion brand, has unveiled its latest collaboration with Disney, celebrating over 100 years of Disney’s timeless stories and beloved characters. Designer Obana Daisuke has drawn inspiration from the American casual fashion boom of the 80s and 90s, particularly the Shibuya and Harajuku scenes, to create a nostalgic yet contemporary collection.
The highlight of the collection is a series of tee shirts featuring Mickey Mouse‘s iconic “standing pose” silhouette. The designs pay homage to vintage Disney apparel, with a special focus on a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt that holds sentimental value for Daisuke. The front of the garments showcases a sophisticated, slightly glossy velvet print of Mickey, while the back of the neck features an original tag inspired by 80s vintage items.
Crafted from a specially spun jersey fabric, the collection promises minimal fuzz, resistance to deformation and pilling and a dry texture, for both comfort and durability. With its dropped shoulders and boxy silhouette, the collection offers a modern twist on classic vintage aesthetics. The summer-ready tees are available now with sweatshirts to follow in mid-September.
At the time of writing, the collection is mostly sold out, with only a few sizes remaining in the black colorway, via N.HOOLYWOOD’s official site.
