Star NFL left tackle Russell Okung took a gamble back in December when he converted half of his 2020 salary into Bitcoin. At the time Bitcoin was worth $27,000 and now with Bitcoin being worth over $61,000 Russell made a boatload of money. Okung’s salary went from being valued at $13 Million to now being valued at $21 Million thanks to his smart investment. This increase makes Okung one of the 30 highest-paid NFL players today.
Russell Okung announced in December he was converting half of his $13M salary into Bitcoin.
Bitcoin was $27,000.
Now, with the price at $61,000, @RussellOkung turned his $13M annual salary into over $21M.
