SEGA has announced that it will release the second Demon Slayer fighting action-adventure game in 2025.

Co-developed with CyberConnect2, the first Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles game was released back in fall 2021 and covered both the first season as well as Mugen Train Arc in its story mode. While a later DLC release added Tengen, Daki, Gyutaro as playable characters, alongside new versions of Tanjiro, Zenitsu Inosuke and Nezuko from the Entertainment District Arc, the arc itself was not introduced into the story mode.

With the new game, story mode will cover everything from the Entertainment District Arc, the Swordsmith Village Arc to the Hashira Training Arc — picking up from when the first game left off. Over 40 characters will be available as playable characters in VS Mode, including all nine Hashiras.

No official release dates have been announced yet, but it’s confirmed that Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be released sometime in 2025 in North America and Europe. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam and the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
