Washington Redskins have finally changed their name after 87 long years. The new name for the Washington football team will be the Wasington Redtails! The name will honor the Tuskegee Airmen who fought in World War II. Currently the team is locking down trademark rights. Check out the new uniform and logo below and fans being happy.
I’m here for the Washington Redtails. It’s past due to give our black heroes their flowers! @Redskins pic.twitter.com/QQBFAlOGMe

For the #Redskins name change, I am all for the Washington Redtails. Redtails was the nickname given to the Tuskegee Airmen – the first black military aviators.
This name would honor black American history & heroism instead of degrading Native Americans. pic.twitter.com/cAiF1XbfZ1

I am hearing that one of the new names being considered for the Redskins is the “Washington Redtails” in honor of the historic Tuskegee Airmen fighter pilots who broke barriers during WWII. I like the idea!..and the logo would be ? pic.twitter.com/MsXiYXyRTy
