Why B0YG1RL’s ‘EXIT 2B’ Is the Essential Soundtrack for Your Summer

Miami duo B0YG1RL returns with their second EP of 2026, a high-energy fusion of bass, baile funk, and club-ready anthems featuring Isabella Lovestory.

Why B0YG1RL’s 'EXIT 2B' Is the Essential Soundtrack for Your Summer

B0YG1RL have mastered the art of driving a dancefloor into a frenzy. The omnivorous electronic duo has carved out a distinct niche, specializing in a high-octane blend of Miami bass fused with regional dance staples like baile funk, Haitian konpas, and dembow riddims. While these influences might feel familiar to those entrenched in the EDM circuit, the duo’s output remains refreshingly raw and delightfully off-kilter.

Their March EP 777 served as an all-gas-no-brakes riot of fizzing synths and punishing basslines, anchored by the white-hot single “Je M’appelle Tété,” which remains a definitive contender for song of the summer. It is little surprise that the Novagang affiliates have quickly garnered support from peers like Nick Leon and Ninajirachi.

Singer-producers June Vinette and Angela Rio have now returned with their latest project, EXIT 2B. Named for the offramp to Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, the EP features high-profile collaborations with Isabella Lovestory and KAY NIVE$. The project marks a subtle shift in pacing from their previous work; while 777 was relentless, EXIT 2B incorporates downtempo moments like “Burn” and “Take Me Home” to ground their more aggressive, redlining peaks.

The variance in the tracklist is a welcome evolution, twisting from the bludgeoning 808s of “My people will destroy you” to the intricate, percussive shuffle of “Declaration.” The standout track, “Soleil” featuring Isabella Lovestory, is a masterclass in club energy. Vinette’s bratty hook provides the perfect springboard for Lovestory to deliver a performance that is both haughty and brash—the pair chanting “I am the sun” back and forth with infectious confidence.

Beyond the high-energy collaborations, tracks like “Burn” showcase the duo’s ability to experiment with texture, as Vinette’s voice surges and recedes like the tide over a plucked guitar line and booming drums. As their star continues to rise, EXIT 2B is poised to become a staple in clubs throughout the summer.
