Chanel Beads, the expansive musical project led by Shane Lavers, has officially announced his sophomore record, Your Day Will Come. The title serves as a direct follow-up to his 2025 debut album, which was also titled Your Day Will Come.
Despite the identical naming, Lavers clarifies that this is not a re-release or a continuation of his previous work, but an entirely new project. According to a press release, the decision to reuse the title was driven by the enduring resonance of the phrase, which evokes a complex tension between certainty and doubt—a theme that has deeply preoccupied the artist’s psyche.

The announcement is accompanied by the release of a lead single, “Song for the Messenger,” along with an original music video. The track showcases Lavers’s signature pitched-up vocals layered over emotionally resonant instrumentation, including live drums, loose strings, and warped guitar textures. The lyrics capture a poignant blend of despair and dogged persistence, maintaining a sense of raw hope.
The album was crafted alongside a talented group of collaborators, including violinist Zachary Paul and vocalist Maya McGrory (who records as Colle). Additional contributions come from Tchad Cousins of Urika’s Bedroom, Mari Maurice (More Eaze), Anastasia Coope, Bella Litsa, and Isaac Eiger of Threshold.
This new chapter follows a whirlwind period for Chanel Beads. The 2024 iteration of Your Day Will Come garnered significant critical acclaim and industry attention, notably catching the ear of Lorde, who invited Lavers to open for her on key dates during her North American Ultrasound Tour.
