Woman Demands $73.6 Million From Soulja Boy in Legal Battle

Soulja Boy is currently on trial after being hit with a lawsuit accusing him of rape and kidnapping. Now the alleged victim has asked a jury to award her $73.6 million in damages.

Soulja Boy May Have to Pay the Price If Found Guilty

During the last month, Soulja Boy has suited up and shown face in court to tell his side of the story against a woman accusing him of heinous crimes. The accuser, who has asked to remain anonymous in the court proceedings, claims she was raped, beaten and imprisoned by the rapper while employed as his personal assistant. In closing arguments for the civil trial on Monday (April 7), her attorneys demand Soulja Boy pay the woman $73.6 million despite him denying any wrongdoing, according to Courthouse News.

Ron Zambrano, the victim’s lawyer, didn’t hold back when describing what Soulja Boy allegedly did to her. “He raped her,” Zambrano explained. “He punched her. He kicked her. He cut her. He pointed a Draco gun at her. He locked her in her room … He told her, ‘I hope you die slow.'”

If the jury decides in favor of the whopping monetary award, Soulja’s legal team can appeal.  “If you don’t believe my client, don’t give her a dollar,” Zambrano said. “But if you do believe her, give her everything.”

Soulja Boy’s attorney, Rickey Ivie, released a statement to XXL following the woman’s jury request. “Her claim for damages is grossly exaggerated and unfounded just as her allegations are unfounded and unsubstantiated,” he said.

On Jan. 21, 2021, Soulja was sued in Los Angeles Superior Court by an anonymous former female employee who had been working with him since 2018. Besides the horrible allegations, she also claims he never paid her any wages after they agreed upon $500 a week. Shortly after in 2019, they were involved in a romantic relationship that turned abusive. The only money she claims she received was $1,000 as a “remorse payment” after he allegedly raped her.

“On one occasion, defendant Way [Soulja Boy] punched plaintiff so hard in the head, she lost consciousness, only to wake up in a locked bedroom with no mattress, food or water,” the lawsuit read. “On another occasion when plaintiff tried to quit and leave defendant Way, defendant Way locked her in a room for approximately three days against her will with no hot water until she was coerced into not leaving.”

The trial began on March 13, and has included both sides throwing jabs over the he said-she said details of their relationship and working environment. Soulja proclaimed his innocence and insisted he never touched the woman in a manner to harm her. Volatile text messages he sent to the woman were discussed in court, but the rhymer said they were not meant to be threatening or violent. While Soulja admitted the relationship was mutual, he denied ever hiring her as his personal assistant.
