Pensacola-based rapper, MSB Boog, drops yet another bashing rap track called “Rockstar.” The new single comes with a high-powered music video that follows the songwriter’s real-life story of coming out of the mean streets to becoming a full-on rockstar.
The visuals capture the song’s hardcore energy and perfectly match the intensity of the lyrics: “Blockstar came from the block now rockstar/ Use to be in the back of cop car/ Now five star eating lobster/ Fucking bad bitches no cuffing her/ Everything exclusive no regular/ Playing with the game we gone bury ya/ Quit with the dissing it get terrible yea yea.”
“Rockstar” is the follow-up to this year’s EP Life In The Trenchez. The six-track record includes “My Time,” “Woah,” “In The Field,” “I’m Back,” “Black Mask,” and the popular single “Run It Up,” which MSB Boog admits is “the main song that shines to light on me. I thought “Run It Up” was going to be a good one but I didn’t expect it to be as good as it did.”
MSB Boog recently signed a deal with EQ/RocNation, taking a huge step toward the goal of establishing himself as one of the rappers to look out for. The Hip Hop artist attributes his success to his authenticity and determination. He believes that no matter where you are in life, if you are focused and know where you’re heading, you will get there. And that’s the main message behind “Rockstar” as well.
