Grammy-nominated R&B star Summer Walker has officially dropped the music video for her latest hit song “Heart of a Woman.” The song is from her upcoming album Finally Over It and brings in multi-platinum rapper NLE Choppa as her toxic love interest that she just can’t get enough of in the music video.
The steamy music video brings to life a dramatic time-loop narrative, where Summer finds herself reliving the same day three times after her partner’s infidelity. The visuals draw inspiration from her celebrated trilogy, connecting the eras of Over It, Still Over It and the highly anticipated Finally Over It, with each of the three loops. Giving a teaser of what to expect in her upcoming album, the final sequence sees Summer finally walking away from the toxic cycle. In the music video she literally walks away from Choppa as her love interest leaving the home and relationship engulfed in flames.
The video opened with a 15 second teaser of a brand-new track from her new album. The music video is directed by Lacey Duke, intertwining themes of heartbreak, growth and empowerment. Watch the video above and take a listen to the track below.
