Interpol Announces New Album ‘This Mirror Weighs a Ton’

Interpol has officially announced their highly anticipated new studio album, This Mirror Weighs a Ton. The record is scheduled for release on August 28 via Partisan Records, marking the band’s first full-length project in four years, following 2022’s The Other Side of Make-Believe.

Produced by Andrew Wyatt—known for his work with artists like ROSALÍA and Charli xcx—and mixed by David Fridmann, the album represents a significant milestone for the band. It was recorded in New York City, marking the first time in over a decade that the group has tracked a record in their hometown. According to a press release, the album expands upon the band’s signature guitar-driven sound by incorporating woodwinds, intricate vocal harmonies, and experimental sound design.
