The highly anticipated exhibition match between Floyd Mayweather and Mike Zambidis in Athens has been abruptly canceled, leaving the boxing world in shock. The event, which was scheduled to take place this past weekend, was halted following a federal court lawsuit filed by CSI Entertainment, the company responsible for booking the bout.
CSI Entertainment alleges that they paid the legendary boxer $4.65 million in advances for exclusive rights to fights involving Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao. According to the lawsuit, Mayweather failed to honor these agreements, opting instead to pursue other opportunities. The promoters successfully petitioned the court to intervene, effectively blocking the exhibition against Zambidis.
As news of the legal disaster broke, 50 Cent, known for his long-standing and often public rivalry with the boxer, immediately took to social media to mock the situation. “Champ I saw I keep missing your call, the time is different I’m in Ibiza,” the rapper quipped in his latest post, further fueling the ongoing feud between the two former friends.
