DaBaby is officially putting his North Carolina fortress on the market for $6.9 million, a move that highlights a significant pivot in the Charlotte rapper’s career and financial priorities. The sprawling property, located at 135 Stillwater Road in Troutman, represents a major asset shift as the artist looks to move away from holding high-end real estate in favor of expanding his diverse business ventures.
Originally purchased for $2.3 million, the 11,241-square-foot compound is now listed for triple its initial investment. The estate is equipped with all the luxury amenities expected of a high-profile residence, including five bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a private pool, and stadium-grade lighting that illuminates the grounds at night. The property is heavily fortified, surrounded by concrete walls and security gates—a necessity given the high-profile nature of the artist’s life.
The mansion gained notoriety in April 2022 when a trespasser was shot on the premises. Following the incident, which police confirmed occurred while DaBaby was home, the property was updated with prominent signage warning of security measures, including the blunt declaration, “We have guns and shovels.”
Beyond the real estate transaction, the move signals a broader transition for the rapper. He is currently dedicating his energy to his growing entrepreneurial portfolio, most notably his new restaurant, No Knife Chicken and Waffles, which has already begun to make an impact on the Charlotte food scene. Furthermore, he continues to manage his record label, Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment, founded in 2017, alongside a clothing line that has secured partnerships with major retailers.
Industry observers note that this strategic consolidation of assets comes amid reports of financial headwinds, including a $1.8 million IRS dispute and a shift in his touring revenue. By liquidating the Troutman estate, the artist appears to be streamlining his operations to focus on long-term growth within his label and hospitality ventures.
