Bentley Showcases Stunning Range of Mulliner Bespoke Models

Bentley made a stunning showcase of its Mulliner bespoke models at Auto China 2024, presenting a range of highly personalized vehicles. Among them was the debut of a unique Continental GTC S, designed specifically for the Chinese market and inspired by surfing, which was revealed to the public for the first time after its sale.

The Bentley Batur, a coachbuilt two-seat grand tourer, highlighted the event, unveiling a new exterior in Gloss Aquamarine. This model represents the new design direction for future Bentley vehicles and showcases the craftsmanship Mulliner is known for. The Batur, limited to just 18 units, also stands out as Bentley’s most powerful model ever.

Additionally, the luxury automaker also displayed its flagship Bentayga EWB Mulliner alongside the Flying Spur Azure Hybrid, both featuring unique bespoke elements that underscore Bentley’s commitment to luxury and personalization.

This year, Bentley announced that it would introduce special collections inspired by Chinese culture to meet the growing demand for personalized luxury cars in China. Ansar Ali, Mulliner and Motorsport Director at Bentley noted a significant 43 percent increase in customer interest in luxury personalization from the previous year. He emphasized the influence of Chinese customers and the luxury market in shaping future offerings from Bentley.

Kim Airey, Managing Director of Bentley Motors Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, highlighted the popularity of Bentley’s personal commissioning services in China, stating that customer engagement had doubled compared to two years prior. In 2024, Bentley plans to launch several China-exclusive collections co-created with Mulliner, reflecting the tastes and cultural heritage of their Chinese clients.

These collections include the Koi Carp Collection, inspired by the auspicious symbols in Chinese culture and the Landscapes Collection, drawing from ancient Chinese art to represent the nation’s vast landscapes. Additionally, the Ru Yi Collection, limited to three cars, incorporates traditional symbols of power and fortune, showcasing Mulliner’s capability to embed deep cultural references into its designs — all of which are soon to be revealed.
