Silver Arrow Cars has launched an extraordinary auction event on Bring A Trailer, offering a rare collection of Mercedes-Benz Black Series models. This event marks a unique opportunity for collectors to own a piece of automotive history and features some of the most exclusive and high-performance examples from the German automaker.

The collection includes iconic models like the 2008 CLK63 AMG Black Series and the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series AMG ONE Edition, all showcasing low to near-delivery mileage. These vehicles represent the perfect blend of luxury and performance, each designed with a distinct character and crafted to deliver an exhilarating driving experience.

Notably, the auction also presents a rare 2005 CLK AMG DTM coupe, a vehicle produced in a limited series of just 100 units to celebrate the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters Championship victory of Mercedes-Benz factory driver Bernd Schneider. This particular model, which was never sold in the U.S., features advanced aerodynamics including wide fender flares, a carbon-fiber rear wing and a split rear diffuser, complemented by a supercharged 5.4L AMG V8 engine. While not technically a Black Series vehicle, it is the predecessor to the series, the rarest car in the lineup and in a sense, a stand-in for the absent SLK55 AMG Black Series model that would make the collection complete.

The Black Series vehicles are distinguished by their aggressive design and enhanced performance features. For instance, the SL65 AMG Black Series, with only 175 units made for the U.S. market, boasts a twin-turbocharged 6L V12 engine. It has undergone significant modifications like a fixed carbon-fiber roof and chassis upgrades including staggered wheels and an adjustable suspension. Following the SL65, the 2012 C63 AMG Black Series showcases an even more potent version of AMG’s 6.2L V8, delivering 510 hp and featuring lightweight construction, a track-oriented suspension, and a seven-speed gearbox, offered with no reserve.

Another highlight is the 2014 SLS AMG Black Series, which appears virtually new with only 150 miles on the odometer. It features extensive use of carbon fiber and a titanium exhaust system to reduce weight, paired with a naturally-aspirated 6.2L V8 engine producing 622 hp.

The most recent addition to the auction, the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series AMG ONE Edition, features a striking silver and black livery with turquoise accents, echoing the design of Mercedes’ Formula 1 cars. This model includes advanced technology like a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine, carbon-fiber bodywork and ceramic-composite brakes.

At the time of writing, the collection, offered as individual lots, has received a combined bidding amount of over $2,500,000 USD — with the potential to go significantly higher from here as the auctions reach their final hours.
