A rare gem for any Corvette collector, the 1999 Callaway C12, previously owned by NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr., is now up for auction via Bring A Trailer. This particular model, one of only 19 built, boasts a legacy enriched by its association with the Hall of Fame driver who owned it from 2004 to 2015.

The Callaway C12, finished in Mauritius Blue Mica, was developed in collaboration with IVM Automotive and designed by Paul Deutschman, the car diverges significantly from the base C5 Corvette, sharing only the glass, door cut lines and door handles. Its body, a blend of carbon fiber and Kevlar provides durability and a particular aesthetic appeal with its unique color and mesh grille.

Under the hood lies a powerful 6.2L Callaway SuperNatural V8 engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential, delivering 482 hp and 466 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse is complemented by a suite of features including a removable roof panel, power windows, cruise control and a Kenwood sound system.

During its prime, the Callaway C12 was a statement of both luxury and performance, with the interior featuring two-tone gray leather upholstery accented by carbon fiber trims. Notably, the headliner features Dale Earnhardt Jr’s signature and an accompanying message reading “Enjoy the ride! I sure did!”

In addition to the car, the auction winner will receive a box of accessories including a hat, jacket, necktie, keychain and apparel items. At the time of writing, the leading bid is $72,000 USD with six days still left on the auction.
