Netflix Teams up With Kim Kardashian on New ‘Calabasas’ Series

Netflix is expanding its business ventures with a new series titled Calabasas from executive producers Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts and Pretty Little Liars creator I. Marlene King.

Set to bring more of Calabasas to the screens, Kardashian teams up with her American Horror Story co-star for the series, which is based on Via Bleidner’s book, If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous By Now. The series follows a 16-year-old sheltered Catholic school girl who finds herself in unfamiliar territory when she transfers to Calabasas High. Kardashian is executive producing with King, her partner Lauren Wagner, Roberts Karah Preiss and Matt Matruski for Belletrist Productions and Alexandra Milchan. King is slated to write the script and take on the role as he showrunner.

Calabasas has been a the setting for Kardashian’s reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians and later Hulu’s The Kardashians. Her and her family famously put Calabasas on the map and is the reality star’s fourth project has taken on since the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Kardashian has also worked with Netflix on producing the series Fifth Wheel. There is no news on when the series will release.
