Rod Wave is staring down a mountain of evidence as prosecutors continue building their case against him in his Georgia shooting incident. The 26-year-old rapper faces 14 serious charges stemming from an April 2025 confrontation at his Milton home, and the state’s legal team has compiled over 90 gigabytes of material to support their allegations.
That is not just a few documents; we are talking 1,900 photographs, 111 videos, and multiple audio recordings that prosecutors handed over to his defense team on July 31. The charges against Rod Wave include aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, pointing or aiming a gun at another person, reckless conduct, and criminal damage to property.
His attorney Drew Findling has maintained his client’s innocence from day one, arguing that Rod was actually the victim in this situation. “There is no truth to these charges,” Findling stated. “Rod Green was a victim of a burglary and committed no crimes. How he was even charged as a result of this situation is incomprehensible. This will absolutely be resolved favorably to Mr. Green.”
The incident unfolded after someone broke into Rod’s residence and emptied a safe from the basement. When his associate returned home and discovered the burglary, a verbal argument erupted between them. According to police reports, Rod fired multiple shots outside his home, striking two luxury vehicles, a gold Mercedes G-Wagon and a black Rolls-Royce. Officers found bullet casings on the driveway stairs, bullet holes in both cars, and a handgun recovered from the scene.
Rod has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His legal team continues to argue that he was defending his property after being victimized by the burglary, not committing crimes. The rapper’s next court appearance is scheduled for September 28, giving both sides time to review the massive evidence file prosecutors submitted. In the meantime, Rod is moving forward with his music career. He is preparing to release his new album Don’t Look Down and has a tour of the same name launching on September 12.
