A man in Trippie Redd‘s entourage faces attempted murder charges following a violent restaurant shooting that left two men wounded, including an individual associated with 1900Rugrat. The incident, which occurred at Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen, has drawn significant attention after an arrest warrant detailed the events leading up to the gunfire.
According to the arrest warrant, the suspect, identified as Braveone Jones—known professionally as BalloutDaDon—was present at the restaurant with his cousin and 1900Rugrat. A victim reported that the altercation began when Trippie Redd allegedly shoved his cousin. When the victim intervened to de-escalate the situation, he was attacked by two men. The victim stated he climbed onto a chair for safety before being struck in the neck by a bullet. His cousin, who was also involved in the scuffle, reported being shot in the buttocks during the chaos.
Police investigators reviewed surveillance footage, which reportedly shows BalloutDaDon retrieving a firearm from a white bag and opening fire during the physical confrontation. One witness explicitly told detectives, “That’s Trippie, he started that s###,” though the warrant lists no formal charges against the rapper himself.
The investigation into the September 15 shooting in Miami’s Wynwood district revealed that the conflict may have been rooted in an earlier dispute regarding the founding of a group called YOP. Following the shooting, both victims were transported to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
The case escalated on October 6 when law enforcement, including SWAT teams and federal agents, executed a search warrant at Trippie Redd’s $8 million residence in Southwest Ranches. Officers successfully apprehended BalloutDaDon, who now faces two counts of attempted second-degree murder with a total bail set at $30,000. While the operation brought significant police presence to the rapper’s home, authorities confirmed that the search was specifically targeted at the suspect, and Trippie Redd was not arrested. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
