WACKO MARIA and WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto Reimagine the Japanese Biker Gang Aesthetic

After unveiling its latest Spring/Summer 2024 lineup, WACKO MARIA has also revealed its new collaborative pieces with WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto.

Entitled “PARADISE TOKYO,” the collaboration marks the two labels’ first time joining hands to co-create garments that amalgamate both their design aesthetics. The blazer jacket pants both come in a Wool Gabardine fabrication in a sleek black colorway that’s reminiscent of the uniforms sported by Bōsōzoku — a subculture of Japanese teenage bike gangs.

The kanji characters for “PARADISE TOKYO” grace the back of the jacket in a contrasting hue, while for the pants it’s emblazoned on the side of the left leg. Inside the jacket, its lining arrives in a silky leopard pattern that nods to WACKO MARIA’s signature codes while also complementing the mood of the collab.

Releasing alongside the rest of WACKO MARIA’s seasonal lineup, the “PARADISE TOKYO” pieces will be available via WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto and WACKO MARIA‘s online shops and select stores starting February 10.
